SUBSTANCE: invention relates to displaying a multi-dimensional image accommodating an annotation. System for displaying a multi-dimensional image accommodating an annotation comprises a means for receiving the multi-dimensional image, the annotation and a presentation data associated with the annotation, a display means, an input means, which enables the user to send a request for visualization. Herewith the presentation data indicates the preferred and predetermined representation of the multi-dimensional image accommodating the annotation. Display means is configured able after receiving the request for the visualization to display the preferred representation of the multi-dimensional image accommodating the annotation in accordance with the representation data, wherein the preferred representation demonstrates the second part of the annotation different from the first part.

EFFECT: technical result is enabling the user to switch over from displaying the three-dimensional image cross section, which only partially demonstrates the annotation of interest and the area connected to it, to displaying the cross section, which fully demonstrates the annotation of interest and the said area.
