Method comprises extending a probe of a downhole tool into sealing contact with a formation; operating a pump to withdraw fluid from formation through probe; pumping fluid through a sample flow line; measuring pressure of fluid in sample flow line with respect to time to obtain sample capture data; analysing sample capture data to determine distinctive features confirming successful sample capture within downhole tool and prioritising, based on analysis, sample capture data for transmission to a ground-based system.
