FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to driving a vehicle. Method implemented during vehicle motion, with internal combustion engine, gearbox and electric machine, includes steps of making a decision of the fact that a blocking mean should be transferred to the disengagement position. Then, electrical machine is controlled for application of the first torque, corresponding to the product of required torque of the propulsion system and gear ratio of a planetary gear. Engine is controlled to apply the second torque corresponding to the product of required torque of the propulsion system and value equal to one minus gear ratio of the planetary transmission. Blocking mean is transferred to the disengagement position, when both of said first and second torques are obtained.

EFFECT: improved vehicle driving.
