FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for determining point of unauthorised connection of load to power transmission line. Determining point of unauthorised connection of load to power transmission line is performed by means of the heat maps, using temperature sensors located at certain sections of electric transmission line along its whole length, by means of which a data base of heat maps of the electric transmission line are formed, line runs idle for one year, or 365 days. Each heat map takes into account the weather temperature effect at heating temperature of linear wires of extended power transmission line. Value of weather temperature will allow to activate the heat map, arranged in the data base of processor, where the measured actual heat map will be transmitted for comparing. Comparison of heat maps content in the form of temperature enables detecting point of unauthorised connection of load to power transmission line.
EFFECT: technical result is increased efficiency of determining point of unauthorised connection of load to power transmission line.
