SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely to selecting grain seeds for sowing. Identical weights of compared seeds are placed in cups, filled with sand in amount by 4 times greater than weight of seeds, and added with same weights of salt solution, held and carbon dioxide concentration is measured in vessels with compared seeds. Higher value characterizes better seeding quality of seeds.

EFFECT: invention enables determining seeding quality of seeds in conditions of salinity for 16-28 hours.
