FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. For evaluation of biological activity of preparations for improving sowing properties of seeds of grain crops in salinity conditions, weighed portions of seeds are placed in closed vessel, then seeds are sprinkled with dry sand, weight of which is 4 times greater than weight of seeds, and an amount of a salt solution equal to that of weighed portions of seeds is added to some vessels to simulate salinity, and an amount of solutions containing investigated preparations and salt, equal to that of weighed portions of seeds, is added to other vessels, wherein evaluation of biological activity of preparations is performed from difference in amount of carbon dioxide, released per average caryopsis in germination of seeds at room temperature for 16-28 hours, in salt solution and in solutions with investigated preparation and salt.

EFFECT: invention enables to evaluate biological activity of seed germination promoters in salinity conditions and solve task of selection of stimulant preparations.
