FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: fibre-optic colour sorter is intended for analysis by machine vision means and subsequent separation of objects by colour, size, shape and other characteristics. Colour sorter comprises a device for transportation of sorted material, a laser radiation source, an image reading and processing device, a device for removal of defective materials. Device additionally comprises optical fibre, in inlet end of which enters laser radiation. Radiation of output end of optical fibre passes through negative and positive cylindrical lens, edges of which are orthogonal, wherein radiating end of fibre is located between focus and double focus of positive lens so that in plane of recording image of sorted material radiation is focused in form of a line, length of which is determined by numerical aperture of fibre and focal distance of negative lens. Said technical solution enables summation of power of multiple lasers of different structure and different spectral ranges in one optical fibre. Device enables to place laser sources outside inspection zone and transmit power of lens system of inspection zone by optical waveguide.

EFFECT: primary field of use is sorting of agricultural products.
