FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to a method of thermal treatment of items from low-carbon chrome-molybdenum steel and can be used for hardening of oil pipes, for example, tubing and casing. To obtain articles with high corrosion resistance in aggressive media containing hydrogen sulphide in compliance with international standard API Spec 5CT/ISO 11961 and carbon dioxide, and high level of strength properties (yield point of 552 to 800 MPa), article is subjected to thermal treatment, including heating for austenization to temperature of Ac3+(50…80) °C with holding for at least of 30 minutes, cooling in water till temperature of no more than 100 °C and heating for tempering to temperature not more than (Ac1-15) °C with holding for at least of 30 minutes.
EFFECT: heat treatment of items from low-carbon chrome-molybdenum steel.
