FIELD: ventilation.
SUBSTANCE: present axial fan may be used in thermal control system of aircraft and rocket engineering. Axial fan includes housing in the form of cylindrical shell with sleeve with radial projections in it, inside of this sleeve there is an electric motor with outer cylindrical surface with groove on it and arranged in the groove inserts and impeller. On the sleeve from the side of impeller there are slots, the most distant from the impeller surfaces of slots are located in one plane perpendicular to axis of the electric motor. Inserts are in contact with their end surfaces with mentioned surfaces of slots, on external surface of sleeve from the closest to the impeller end there is a groove and there is a grooves closing ring. On the inner surface of the sleeve there is a nut resting on end surface of the electric motor.
EFFECT: aim of the invention is reducing of radial dimensions.
