FIELD: antennas.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of production of watertight radioparent screens of phased antenna arrays of radar stations from a fluoroplastic varnished cloth on a glass-cloth base. Proposed method comprises heating of connected sections of the cloth and subsequent pressing. Heating is performed by two heaters from above and below of the welded cloth. Bottom heater is made in the form of a support plate with high heat conductivity, the temperature of which is maintained within 395±5 °C. Temperature of the top heater made in the form of a cylinder or a parallelepiped from copper with a polished lower edge is maintained within the range of 430±5 °C. Top heater presses on the connected sections with the force of 8±1 kg/cm2, and the speed of its movement is not more than 1 cm/sec.
EFFECT: invention provides advanced, reliable and cheap method of connecting a high-temperature, high-strength, chemically resistant to aggressive media fluoroplastic varnished cloth.
