FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compressor building industry and can be used in designing economical piston machines for gas compression with independent active liquid cooling. Device comprises cylinder 1 with piston 2 and working cavity 3 with suction valve 4 and pressure valve 5 connected with suction line 6 and delivery line 7 connected with gas receiver 8. On delivery line 7 there are sections of narrowing 9 and of widening 10. Transition zone 11 is connected by channel 12 with output of liquid from cooling jacket 13. Input channel 14 is connected with cooling jacket 13 through tank 15, in which fluid level is lower than transition zone 11, and channel 16. Receiver 8 is connected with tank 15 via channel 17. During operation of the machine gas inserts into section of narrowing 9, where, in compliance with Bernoulli equation, its speed increases, and pressure decreases. Under action of pressure drop liquid is risen from jacket 13 via channel 12, is moved to the input of the channel 14 by gas flow, and it flows under gravity returning in tank 15.
EFFECT: cylinder cooling is performed without additional devices, weight and dimensions of machine are reduced while maintaining high efficiency.
