SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a cover for container (13, 113, 213, 313, 413, 513) for food preparation, installed on free edge (13A, 113A, 213A, 313A, 413A) of said container and having closing element (2, 102, 202, 302, 402, 502, 602), shaped element (4, 104, 230, 330, 430, 530, 630) and coupler (7, 106, 236, 336, 436, 636), configured for connection of said two elements, wherein said shaped and closing elements are configured to move between first working closed position of cover, wherein said two elements of cover are connected to close cooking container, on which cover is installed, and second working open position of cover, in which there is ventilation of container when cover is installed thereon, and preventing leaks from container of culinary liquids; wherein said cover comprises at least one thermal drive (10, 110, 210, 310, 410, 510, 610), designed for, when first preset temperature is achieved, automatic movement of closing element relative to shaped element to actuate shaped element into said open position, to ensure ventilation of container when cover is installed thereon.
