FIELD: manufacture of pressure vessels. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is adapted for opening and closing of clamps mounted on vessel cover for radial displacement by means of drive levers. Apparatus has control member mounted on cover so that it may be moved in radial direction for predetermined value. During displacement of cover, control member comes into engagement with drive levers so as to move them in radial direction. Apparatus allows hermetically sealed food cooking vessel, preferably pressure vessel, such as pressure cooker, to be manufactured.
