SUBSTANCE: invention relates to applications on basis of message transmission interface (MPI). Processing unit for starting processes based on MPI comprises: operating system (OS) intended for receiving request for processing based on message passage interface (MPI), wherein said request is received from process control module in start-up unit; proxy module for starting process based on MPI in response to receiving said request; wherein said process based on MPI comprises application for data exchange with other processes based on MPI, in accordance with MPI standard, and said data exchange is associated with task performance, in which said proxy module is formed by executing safe shell (SSH) or said proxy module is formed on basis of OS service system module depending on type of said OS.
EFFECT: efficient launching of applications on basis of MPI in heterogeneous medium.
