SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to rolling. Device (1) for cooling a forming roll (2), in particular a working roll (2) contains a cooling shell (50) lying opposite to at least a partial zone of surface roll circumference to form a gap (5) intended for passage of a cooling fluid medium between the partial zone of roll surface and cooling shell (50). Improved conditions of controlling the device, as well as the cooling conditions are ensured by the fact that it is equipped with a first suspension lever (40) arranged to turn around the mounting point (8) to turn relative to the roll surface connected with the first roll end zone (51) of cooling shell (50) in the circumferential direction (U) of the roll, and the second lever (90) installed with possibility of rotation around the other mounting point (8) to turn relative to the roll surface connected to the second roll (2) end zone (59) of cooling shell (50) in circumferential direction (U) of the roll with the possibility of displacement relative to it, wherein the device is configured to selectively decrease or increase the clearance (5) of cooling by turning the levers (40, 90).
EFFECT: also, the present invention relates to a system for cooling the roll (2), which contains a device (1), as well as to a method for cooling a forming roll using the system.
