FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention 1 relates to device intended for fabrication of 3D object by layer-by-layer compaction of construction material and method of feeding construction in device above. Proposed device incorporates container 25 and bearing appliance 25 moving along said container height with its top side making construction platform 78. 3D object is constructed on said construction platform. Proposed device comprises also device 27 to apply powder construction material on construction platform, or on pre-compacted layer, and power source 6 generating beam 9 to compact powder construction material. Outlets 90 are arranged in device 1, under container 25, for fluid flow to be directed to edge zones of said container. Proposed method comprises stages that follow: layer of powder construction material is applied many times on platform 78 moving over height in container 25 or on pre-compacted layer of construction material at relevant points and fluid flow is directed to edge zones of said container.
EFFECT: ruling out occurrence of high temperature gradients under layer, particularly, at container angles.
