FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric clamp apparatus. Electric clamp apparatus (10) includes body (12), having rotary drive unit (14) which is driven rotatably by an electric signal and generates a drive force. Drive force transmission mechanism (18) having displacement body (28) of body (12), which converts rotational motion into linear motion by being displaced in an axial direction under a rotary action of drive unit (14). Clamp arm (20) disposed rotatably with respect to body (12) and which is rotated by drive force transmission mechanism (18) for gripping a workpiece. Lock mechanism for regulating rotational operation of clamp arm (20) at a time of clamping of the workpiece by clamp arm (20). Lock mechanism is constituted from roller (52) that is disposed rotatably on clamp arm (20), and inclined portion (46) of displacement body (28) of body (12) against which roller (52) abuts, and which is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to a direction of displacement of displacement body (28) of body (12). Inclined portion (46) is inclined to thrust against displacement body (28) of body (12) such that, at the time of clamping, roller (52) gradually is pressed toward a side of clamp arm (20).
EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring stable clamping force of workpiece of various thickness without operations on the clamp arm.
