FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric clamp apparatus. Apparatus (10, 50) is equipped with body (12), rotary drive unit (14) which is driven rotatably by an electric signal, clamp arm (16) disposed rotatably with respect to body (12) for gripping a workpiece; and transmission mechanism (18) for transmitting a rotary drive force of drive unit (14) to clamp arm (16). Transmission mechanism (18) includes rotary body (28), and having helical screw grooves (30) formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof, which is rotated upon being driven by the drive unit. and gear (29) connected to the clamp arm and having gear teeth (38), enmeshed with screw grooves (30), wherein by rotation of rotary body (28), a rotary drive force is transmitted to clamp arm (16). Device is equipped with damper (52, 54) from elastic material, installed on an end in an axial direction of rotary body (28). Transmission mechanism (18) is equipped with coupling mechanism (56), having first connecting member (58) connecting the drive shaft of drive unit (14) and rotary body (28), and second connecting member (62) connected to rotary body (28). Between first connecting member (58) and second connection member (62) there is a gap C.
EFFECT: technical result consists in clamping workpiece after termination of energy to electric motor.
