FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for formation of models of identified geological structures based on a set of node points. Disclosed is a method of forming a model of a geological structure, which includes steps of: mapping multiple points of source data into accumulation of node points; creation of a set of sorted accumulations of points with coverage area corresponding to boundary by sorting points in accumulation of node points in accordance with distance of each of multiple points of source data from origin of coordinates; creating new accumulation of points by reducing coverage area of set of sorted accumulation points and creation of a model of a geological structure by application to coordinate grid of points in a new accumulation of points using a computer processor.
EFFECT: providing improved interpretation of fluid contact in a formation.
