FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed are device and methods of checking results of measuring temperature in ultrasonic flow meter. Ultrasonic flow measurement system has a channel for fluid flow, temperature sensor, ultrasonic flow meter and flow data processing device. Temperature sensor is arranged for delivery of measured temperature of fluid medium flowing in channel. Ultrasonic flow meter is configured to measure time of ultrasound signal passage through fluid medium. Flow data processing device is configured to: 1) for calculating speed of sound through fluid medium based on transmission time, 2) for calculating fluid temperature calculated based on speed of sound, 3) using correction based on previous difference between calculated temperature and measured temperature to temperature parameter and 4) determining, based on temperature parameter checking whether current temperature difference between measured temperature and calculated temperature is within a predetermined range.

EFFECT: technical result is provision of testing instruments for measuring temperature in an ultrasonic flow measurement system without the need to use additional devices and/or without shutdown of system for implementing test.
