FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention includes a system and a method of calibration of an ultrasonic flow meter. In one version of realisation the method includes placement of a device for circulation of fluid medium in a flow meter. Fluid medium circulates in the flow meter by actuation of a device for fluid medium circulation. The time of passage of the acoustic signal in the flow meter is measured during circulation. On the basis of measurement results they determine a part of time of acoustic signal passage caused by a delay created by flow meter components.

EFFECT: provision of the possibility to increase accuracy of measurements of ultrasonic flow meters.
