FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: test device (10) for an ultrasonic flowmeter is proposed, having a test chamber (12) with a fluid at zero flow velocity and with a first installation location (14a) for the first ultrasonic transducer (16a) and a second installation location (14b) for the second ultrasonic transducer (16b) of the ultrasonic flowmeter, so that the ultrasonic transducers (16a-b) are directed at each other in the set state and determine the measuring trajectory (18) of ultrasound through the test chamber (12) on the connecting line. The test chamber (12) has a geometric shape in which the distance between the mounting points (14a-b) and, consequently, the length L of the measuring trajectory (18) of ultrasound is large enough for a direct ultrasonic signal (36) from the first ultrasonic transducer (16a) to the second ultrasonic transducer (16b) to be separated in time from the later echo signals (38, 34), and/or the distance from the mounting points (14a-b) to the corresponding adjacent side walls of the test chamber (12) and, consequently, the distance a from the ultrasound measuring trajectory (18) to the side walls is large enough for the direct ultrasonic signal (34) on the ultrasound measuring path (18) to be separated in time from the secondary ultrasonic signals (38, 32) that do not propagate on the ultrasound measuring trajectory (18).
EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of accurate measurement of the zero point in a portable device.
