SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment and can be used on aircraft (AC) for their protection against attacking “air-to-air" and "surface-air" missiles. Proposed method is implemented by active protection system (APS), comprising ultraviolet and infrared radiation detecting sensors, laser radiation detectors, attacking missiles detection radar and radio reconnaissance station, electronic jamming system control unit and APS control unit, optical-electronic suppression laser station, active jamming station, decoy targets ejection device, protective ammunition launcher, onboard radar station, AC automatic control subsystem, navigation equipment system, onboard AC and DC networks.

EFFECT: technical result-increase of AC protection against guided missiles hitting.
