FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and system for protecting aircraft from guided missiles with optical homing heads. In order to protect against approaching guided missiles, they are detected by UV range sensors, distance is determined by means of pulse-Doppler RLS and speed of their approach in certain manner, false thermal targets are shot to disable aiming. System comprises UV sensors, pulse-Doppler radar, an ejection device for shooting false targets, decision making unit, aircraft protection system control device, flight-navigation system connected in certain manner.
EFFECT: high probability and reliability of determining attacking missiles, high reliability of protection against them, high safety of aircraft.
