FIELD: safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to counter-terrorism field and can be used in object protection systems. Method of fragmentation explosives detecting is based on non-linear radar ranging method and involves irradiation with UHF electromagnetic probing field and reflected signal spectrum new components recording. Irradiation is performed at two proximate, but not equal frequencies. Recording is carried out on one of third-order combination frequencies, which is less than values of radiated signals two frequencies. All frequencies are taken in explosive device resonant scattering range. Polarization of probing UHF signals is taken rotating with identical direction of rotation, and recording of reflected UHF signal on third-order combination frequency is performed using opposite direction of rotation.

EFFECT: technical result is increased range of fragmentation explosives detecting.
