SUBSTANCE: processing of the reflected signal is performed by the N channel circuit on any harmonic and combinational component by using the optimal filtration of the composite signal with a carrier frequency equal to the intermediate frequency (IF), and Δƒ band in the M channels and 2⋅Δƒ in the N-M channels, and, taking into account the results for all the channels, the distance to the search object is measured by the time position of the response maximum. The method is implemented by a device executed in a corresponding manner.
EFFECT: measuring the distance to the search object by using a two-frequency sounding method with registration of combination frequencies of the second and the third reflected signal order.
