SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas. Hyperbranched polylysine is used in the development, exploitation and completion of underground mineral oil and natural gas deposits, and in deep wells, especially as a shale inhibitor in water-based drilling muds, completion fluids or stimulation fluids, degree of polylysine branching ranges from 10 to 99.9%, preferably from 20 to 99 %, more preferably from 20 to 95 %, molecular weight of polylysine is in the range of 500 to 10,000 g/mol, preferably in the range of 750 to 7,500 g/mol, more preferably in the range of 750 to 5,000 g/mol.
EFFECT: technical result is non toxicity and biodegradability of shale inhibitor.
