SUBSTANCE: heat exchange unit (12) for treatment of carbon dioxide (CO2). Heat exchange unit includes housing (68), including inlet hole (72), outlet hole (74) and internal surface (76), which defines cavity (78) extending between inlet and outlet hole. Housing is configured to receive solid CO2 via inlet. At least one heat exchange tube (70) extends through housing. Heat exchange tube is located so that it stays in contact with solid CO2, to facilitate heat transfer from solid CO2 to fluid heat carrier, that is passed through heat exchange tube to facilitate conversion of at least part of solid CO2 into liquid CO2.
EFFECT: heat exchange unit is configured for extraction of some amount of cold of solid CO2 and transfer of at least part of extracted amount of cold to fuel gas.
