FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for selective hydrogenation of acetylene hydrocarbons in medium of olefins and diolefins, which involves passing through layer of catalyst of hydrogen flow, olefins and/or diolefins, containing impurities of acetylene hydrocarbons. Method is characterized by that catalyst used is geometrically structured system, including microfibers of high-silica carrier with diameter 5-20 mcm, which is characterized by presence of absorption bands of hydroxyl groups in infrared spectrum with wave number ν= 3,620-3,650 cm-1 and half-width 65-75 cm-1 and has gel-like surface layer with thickness from 1 to 500 nm, which is characterized by viscosity 3,000-30,000 CP and specific surface area, measured by BET method of thermal desorption of argon, SAr= 0.5-350 m2/g and at least one active component.
EFFECT: use of presented method enables to obtain high conversion and selectivity of conversion of acetylene hydrocarbons into olefins and/or diolefins without loss of olefins and diolefins.
