FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering, namely, to the drive shaft made of composite materials. Drive shaft (1) is made in the form of two systems of cross-helical rods (2) and (3), symmetrically turned relative to the axis and uniformly distributed in circle to form gaps with rhombic cells, with circular frames on end faces (4). Rods (2) and (3) are made on the basis of continuous unidirectional reinforcing material impregnated with a binder, while frames based on woven and/or continuous unidirectional reinforcing material impregnated with a binder. Whole reinforcing material of rods and frames is located with regular alternation of layers by thickness in units of mutual intersection.
EFFECT: efficiency increase is achieved due to range expansion of possible variation of stiffness characteristics with simultaneous reduction of mass and labour intensity.
