FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to aircraft equipment with guns systems. Pod-type machine-gun module is equipped with mechanism of smooth cartridges reorientation from position, perpendicular to machine-gun barrel axis, into position, parallel to machine-gun barrel axis. For this reorientation mechanism is equipped with guide, envelope and cartridge belt shutter-damper. Envelope is installed at angle to box edge with maximum cross-section area. Cartridge box and reorientation mechanism are installed on side of barrel extension receiving window. Edges of boxes with minimum cross section area are perpendicular to barrel axis and helicopter flight direction. On machine gun casings removal opening side casings reflector sleeves and cartridge belt links direction into links collection box casing are installed.
EFFECT: decreased weight of armament and improved aerodynamics of helicopter.
