FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: capsule (1000) for extraction of a beverage under pressure comprises body (1004) in form of a cup and seal (1006) which together define chamber (1008) containing a substance for beverage preparation. Body (1004) comprises external side wall (1010) which is substantially frustoconical, base (1012) which is integrated with external side wall (1010) and closes external side wall at rear end (1020) of body (1004), and annular rim (1016) which extends radially outwards from external side wall (1010) and defines front end (1022) of body (1004). Seal (1006) closes external side wall (1010) at front end (1022). Capsule (1000) can be arranged in extraction device (1100) so that extraction liquid under pressure flows into capsule (1000) through base (1012) and exits therefrom through seal (1006). Base (1012) and wall (1010) are made from a first plastic material, which is inert relative to substance contained in chamber, and annular rim (1016) is made from a second plastic material different from first plastic material, wherein first and second plastic materials are compatible materials.

EFFECT: invention provides a good sealing effect.
