SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a consumable cartridge for a plasma arc burner (embodiments), a method of assembling said cartridge and a method of installing a cartridge into a plasma-arc burner. Consumable cartridge comprises an external component limiting the hollow body, an internal component located inside the hollow body of the external component, and a hollow area between the rear section of the internal component and the external component. Inner component comprises front section, the configuration of which provides for axial attachment of external component to inner component and their rotary interaction, and rear section suspended inside hollow body of external component. Rear section is attached to outer component and is in rotary interaction with it by front section.

EFFECT: configuration of the hollow area provides for the burner head to be fitted therein to allow coupling between the rear portion of the inner component and the cathode of the burner head.
