FIELD: electric insulation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrically insulating materials. Electrically insulating article comprises a layer of non-cellulose nonwoven fabric, having first and second arranged opposite each other main surfaces, wherein each of main surfaces of layer of nonwoven fabric is attached to layer of non-cellulose nonwoven paper, wherein nonwoven paper and nonwoven fabric are electrically insulating. Nonwoven paper is a sheet material made from short fibres. Nonwoven fabric is a sheet material made of long fibres. At least one layer of nonwoven paper is connected directly with a layer of nonwoven fabric.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of material with high fire resistance, having high mechanical strength and residual flexibility after thermal ageing.
