SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and provides a method of relaying a wireless relay device and a wireless relay device. Method includes following steps: synchronising information of uplink network connection AP with downlink AP WLAN interface of a wireless relay device; obtaining, in accordance with downlink AP WLAN interface, corresponding to synchronised uplink AP, MAC-address information of downlink wireless STA and installing an uplink WLAN client interface, which is mapped with MAC-address of STA; and performing, in accordance with mapping between MAC-address of STA and installed uplink WLAN client interface, control of data sent between uplink AP and downlink wireless STA.
EFFECT: enabling WLAN relay of prior art to meet requirement of unified authentication/accounting the basis of MAC-address.
