FIELD: acoustics; measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustic measurements and concerns acousto-optical cable. Cable comprises multiple sections of fibre-optic acousto-optical sensors. Sensors include an optical-electronic module, optically connected with located inside polymer base a sensitive element, optical communication line, electric power supply line module and module of power elements. Modules are arranged longitudinally in inner space of fibre-optic cable, wherein temporary filling is removed. Sensitive elements are composed of optical fibre with Bragg lattices and are made of birefringent optical fibres. Sensitive elements are coated with protective cladding with Poisson coefficient greater than 0.35.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of sensitivity and reduced diameter of cable.
