FIELD: navigation systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in navigation and gyrostabilization. An interferometric fiber-optic gyroscope contains a source of broadband optical radiation, an X-coupler, an integrated optical circuit, a birefringent Y-coupler, as well as a fiber-optic contour made of birefringent optical fiber. The integrated optical circuit is a birefringence modulator and is built on an electro-optical crystal, inside of which a birefringent waveguide is formed, and on the surface of the electro-optical crystal, forming a modulator, two electrodes are fixed, placed on both sides of the waveguide, connected to the control output of the control board. The birefringent Y-coupler is located between the integrated optical circuit and the fiber-optic circuit.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measuring the angular velocity of rotation by a fiber-optic gyroscope by reducing the influence of piezoelectric and pyroelectric effects in an electro-optical crystal of an integrated optical circuit, i.e. eliminating a parasitic phase incursion detected by the system as an error in the signal of a fiber-optic gyroscope.
