FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly to production of thin sheets of difficult-to-form aluminium alloys, including aluminium-lithium alloys, and can be used in production of casing sheets for the aerospace industry and ship building. At the workpiece hot rolling up to thickness of 5-7 mm, after softening annealing on the workpiece side edges, welding is performed in the medium of strips inert gases of high-ductility aluminium alloy with thickness equal to thickness of the main rolling. At that, the B width of welded strips is selected in the range of: B=(7-10)H; where H is thickness of hot-rolled strip. After rolling completion and obtaining of the sheet of the required thickness these strips are cut along the separation zones of alloys.

EFFECT: method for production of thin sheets from difficult-to-form aluminium alloys is suggested.
