SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of data formatting based on samples. It is determined when corrections are made on multiple elements within spreadsheet document, wherein every unit of this multitude of units is interconnected. Data formatting rule is created automatically based on samples of input data related to different columns of spreadsheet document and samples of output data in the same column of spreadsheet document wherein the samples of input data and samples of output data are associated with mentioned corrections. Data formatting rule is apply automatically to other units within the spreadsheet document which relate to the same data type wherein data formatting rule intends to format these other units into a format defined by samples of input data and samples of output data, wherein mentioned other units differ from mentioned multitude of units. Mentioned other elements are displayed reflecting data formatting rule usage.
EFFECT: providing the ability to format spreadsheet data automatically.
