SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multimedia technologies, particularly, to method and device for reproducing multimedia data. Disclosed is a device for reproducing multimedia data, including a multimedia data service proxy module and a reproduction module, wherein multimedia data service proxy module and reproduction module are located in one terminal or in different terminals, and multimedia data service proxy module is configured to obtain multimedia data corresponding to received reproduction instruction, preliminary processing of said multimedia data and transmission of reproduction control command to reproduction module, as well as for transmission of preprocessed multimedia data to reproduction module in accordance with a request from reproduction module; wherein reproduction module is configured to request from multimedia data service proxy module multimedia data, corresponding to reproduction control command, transmitted from multimedia data service proxy module, and to decode said multimedia data for reproduction.
EFFECT: technical result consists in separation of processing associated with personalised user requirements, from decoding and reproduction of multimedia data, as well as integration of third-party players to implement function for reproducing multimedia data with complex logic.
