SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of optical fibre connections in a looped network of radio remote units (RRU). Method comprises a local-end BBU receiving configured information of an opposite-end BBU connected to each RRU link thereof; local-end BBU sending received information of opposite-end BBU connected to RRU link to opposite-end BBU through RRU link and opposite-end BBU judging whether information received through RRU link is inconsistent with information of opposite-end BBU itself connected to RRU link, and if inconsistent, then detecting an error of connection between RRU link and opposite-end BBU itself.
EFFECT: technical result consists in detecting correctness of fibre-optic connection between base band unit (BBU) of base station and opposite-end BBU of local base station.
