SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunications and enables to change the topological structure of a remote radio frequency unit (RRU) channel. The invention discloses a method for adapting an RRU, which includes steps of regular broadcasting and sending by the remote radio frequency unit, request information for obtaining an identifier through a port of said remote radio frequency unit; receiving, by the remote radio frequency unit, response information for the request information to obtain an identifier; and if the response information relates to providing an identifier from a base band unit, the remote radio frequency unit sets up a higher-level channel according to the provided identifier contained in the response information.
EFFECT: invention discloses a device for realising the disclosed method for remote radio frequency unit channel adaptation.
