FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of high-speed flying targets detection and high-accuracy parameters determination, as well as to homing heads, used to generate control signals in antiaircraft missile systems. Disclosed method of high-speed flying targets detection and high-accuracy parameters determination first selection of target-like objects from background noise and other low-speed large-size interferences measures are taken. Then, target selection by system of signs is performed: brightness, dimensions, mutual arrangement of parts, shape, etc. Nature of selected objects movement trajectory is also determined: target moves practically straight, and interferences spread along different directions. Then most similar to target by movement objects movement trajectory analysis is performed. Total data are grouped in formations or images, they are compared with "reference" images, stored in memory, and target coordinates are determined.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of target killing with missile.
