FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rubber cord shells (RCS) operating under excess pressure, and can be used in machine building, namely in rubber-cord shock-absorbing structures to increase durability, air-tightness and reliability of their operation. Method consists in pre-crimping of beads and RCS heating together with one or more subsequent cycles, holding at specified temperature, then cooling beads with flanges after heating. Uniform compression of beads is performed by crimping device at initial and subsequent compression cycles, wherein during beads with flanges cooling crimping device maintains required compression force, at the end of last RCS beads compression cycle side wall connection assembly is carried out by means of flanges and bolts, wherein bolted joint tightening is performed with minimum torque, then crimping device is removed.
EFFECT: technical result is increased RCS beads tightness during operation under conditions of periodic heating and cooling.
