FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopaedics and traumatology, and is intended for use in treating mandibular and/or maxillary fractures. After anaesthesia, on the mandibular bone, a smooth dental splint-clamp along the length of a dental arch with the help of a fixing tie with a shank and a lock with a locking channel, forming a loop in the shank of the lock when fixing, is being fixed. Lock has a round section and slot-like wedges, arranged on the "9 o'clock" and "3 o'clock". There is a fixing tie on the vestibular side. Shank of the tie is being inserted in the vestibular-oral direction in the distal interdental space of a tooth, on which fixation is planned. Enveloping a tooth crown, shank of the tie is being inserted in the vestibular-oral direction in the mesial interdental space of a tooth, on which fixation is planned, covering the dental splint on the vestibular side so, that the dental splint is pressed by a tie to the vestibular tooth surface. Then, the shank is being introduced in the opening of the tie from a dental tie surface to a vestibular surface, and stretched until the tie on the teeth is tightly fixed. Then, the shank is being introduce in the slot-like wedge, positioned on the "9 o'clock" of the vestibular surface of the tie for fixation of the shank in the tie, introduced along the internal chute of the tie to the slot-like wedge, positioned on the "3 o'clock" of the vestibular surface, and is discharged through it towards the oral vestibule. Extra part is being cut. Ties are being applied on the mandibular bone, only in positions, corresponding to application of interdental elastics without a dental splint.

EFFECT: method provides easy operation, patient and doctor safety, reduces time and cost of treatment, maintains the quality of splinting.
