FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for measuring ion concentration of atmospheric air. Method of measuring ion concentration, which comprises periodic charge accumulation on a capacitor of an aspiration chamber with settling of ions of investigated air on its collecting electrode at equal time intervals and subsquent measurement thereof by measuring pulse parameters occurring at input of input device during discharge of capacitor of aspiration chamber at its input resistance when switch is closed, connecting collecting electrode of chamber to input of input device, measuring amplitude of first harmonic of sequence of said pulses and determining concentration of ions from value of amplitude of first harmonic of sequence of said pulses.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring ion concentration by reducing effect of noise.
