FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of sodium silicofluoride. Method for producing sodium silicofluoride involves reaction of hydrogen fluorosilicic acid and a mixture of sodium-containing compounds, which are taken in an amount of 110-120 % of stoichiometric ratio. Reaction is carried out at a temperature of 0-50 °C during 15-30 minutes to obtain a suspension, product is separated by settling, it is followed by decantation of mother solution, derived slurry is diluted with water, precipitate is filtered and dried. Mixture of sodium-containing compounds used are a mixture of sulphate and sodium carbonate taken at a weight ratio of Na2SO4:Na2CO3, equal to (3.2-3.9):1, in the form of 15-20 % solution. Mixture of sodium-containing compounds can be a sulphate-soda mixture, which is a waste product of alumina production.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of quality of the end product.
