FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to digital computer engineering and can be used in automation digital devices. It is achieved due to, that each decimal digit is represented by four binary codes, calculation is performed by recording into least significant bit "1" or "0" code and shift by one bit between first-fourth positions towards most significant bits. Each decimal position of device contains three “AND-NOT” logic elements, logic element “AND”, count pulses input SI, device setting to zero input CLR, operation resolution input CE from previous lowest counter tetrad, operation resolution signal CR output to higher tetrad and four binary bits, wherein each binary bit contains one RS trigger, which is based on two logic elements “AND-NOT”, and four logic elements “AND-NOT”, clock input TI and setting to zero input.
EFFECT: technical result is faster operation, reduced hardware expenses in binary-decimal counters decades and higher reliability due to simplification of device design.
