FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physical instrument making and intended for use in development of neutron and x-ray generators. Pulse neutron generator comprises tube unit, including neutron tube arranged in separate rigidly interconnected metal housings, high-voltage pulse transformer, storage capacitor, and switching unit with switch and its starting circuit. Units are connected to each other by screwing in of two end parts, one of which is located at tube unit housing end and consists of central pin and metal current-conducting cone installed in dielectric insulator. Central pin is connected to high-voltage pulse transformer primary winding, and metal cone is with storage capacitor plate. Other end part is arranged on switching unit housing end and is made in form of central V-shaped spring-loaded seat and metal collet placed in dielectric insulator, wherein central V-shaped spring-loaded seat is connected to switch cathode, and metal collet is connected to switch anode. Tube unit housing has threaded element with external thread, located coaxially to first end part. Switching unit housing has threaded element with internal thread, located coaxially to second end part.
EFFECT: increasing pulsed neutron generator reliability and improving its energy characteristics.
