FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: can filling process, process comprising providing metal can body having first and second ends, second end being closed by peelable lid, and supporting can body from beneath peelable lid including presenting to peelable lid a support surface having a pattern embossed thereon. Can body is filled with a product through said first end using a compacting ram such that lid is pressed against support surface by product and said pattern is impressed into the peelable lid, and a closure applied to said first end. Article used in method comprises metal can body, bottom, sleeve rolled at first end of body, forced fitted in can food product, peelable lit, covering second end of body, and a cap attached to body at second end to cover peelable lid. On inner surface of cap, opposite lid, there is an embossed pattern, impression of which is extruded by cap in lid.
EFFECT: simplified design and higher efficiency.
